While we try to keep this page up to date, there may be a day or so delay in updating any changes made to ROE. The most recent Rules Of Engagement can also be found on our Server 157 Discord page.

These rules are current as of 18th November 2020.

Server 157 Rules of Engagement (ROE):

1: Survey ships are protected under Rules Of Engagement (ROE) and are not to be attacked, unless:
I) The protected cargo limit is exceeded,
II) The mine they are on is an empty mine (A 0 node message must be sent after the node has reached 0 but before any attack)
III) When participating in a base raid.
IV) It is a “Botany Bay” or “D’vor” that is mining a 3* mine or Isogen

2: Any ship participating in an “Armada” is not to be attacked.

3. All other ships are NOT protected.

4: If these rules are violated, resolve it with the offender. If the dispute cannot be resolved, contact the alliance diplomat or admiral.

Special Nodes (Latinum and Data):

Any Survey ship not designed for special mining (latinum and data) may be removed from a special mine to be replaced by a Botany Bay on data or a D’vor on latinum.

Special Borg Latinum systems
(Yoria-3/Zed Alpha/Torra Sedra)

D’vors are are not to be attacked while mining, even if they are over their protected cargo limit.

D’vors may be removed if there are no free mines in the system and one of the following applies: –

  • maximum cargo has been reached (no more mining although the mine is not yet 0)
  • The mine is 0

It is recomended to prove the situation by screenshots.

The Vi’dar is protected as long as it is not mining Latinum.

War declarations:

These can only be made by an Admiral (minimum alliance members of 10) and must be backed up by another member of that alliance.

Solo players making war declarations are considered to be in a “rogue” state and will gain immediate KOS status.

Note: any players or alliances deemed as Kill on Sight (KoS) forfeit the right of protection under the above rules for their actions against these rules.
